Are you there God it’s me...

Waking up early gives me time to talk to you unhurried. It feels like I get to watch you do the work of creation as you wake up the world, turning the sky from dark to light. Great is thy faithfulness.

Thank you for another day. I will try to let this little light of mine shine. Magnify my efforts so that the light may overcome the darkness,

Grant us peace dear Lord. In a world that so often seems full of conflict, show us how to live in harmony and cooperation. Extinguish the flames of hatred and bless us that we may love one another. Let our commitment to peace and love be greater than our discord and hatred.

Thank you for the many gifts you have given me. Show me how to use them to glorify you, and as expressions of goodness and mercy that I extend towards others. Let me give at least as much as I receive.

You are always there when I turn to you, and perhaps more importantly, even there when I do not. Thank you for hearing my prayer. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray.
