Are you there God it’s me...

You woke me up early this morning to get my day started and I am grateful. Before the birds even start singing, you and I are talking. I am glad for the times I get to rest in your Spirit.

Help me to write and deliver my sermon today. Why do I leave it to the last minute? Be with me and inspire and guide me in all I do. Expand my day so there is sufficient time for me to accomplish all my tasks.

Watch over and protect the children of the world dear Father. Put a hedge of protection around them and keep them from all harm. You word especially calls for us to care for the orphans so please help us to do just that.

Our time together is always a precious gift. Even though you are with me every moment, I never tire of you or stop being thankful. In your presence there is fullness of joy. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray.
