Thank you for this day, even if I do wake up bleary-eyed. And thank you for the fun night that kept me up a little too late. I’m so glad you desire that I have life and life more abundantly. Having a God that delights in me having fun is so gratifying and invigorating. You give me permission to be my whole self in your presence.
Bless my endeavors this day. Allow me to have success in my efforts and accomplish my tasks. Let my not overload my plate but have a manageable list of things to do, including just have fun. Give me direction in organizing my day and let my efforts meet with success. Teach me how to be productive and give me the energy to work.
Bless those burdened with anxiety and depression dear Lord. You know what it is like to be weak and heavy-laden Jesus. Be with your people as they struggle. Lighten their load and bring comfort to their souls. Be the light leading them out of the darkness. Restore them to good health: body, mind, and spirit.
As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after you. You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship you. Thank you for letting me not just have life today, but get to spend this day with you. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray.
