Are you there God it’s me...

Thank you for waking me up at 3am to finish my sermon. It has been a long time since I’ve felt that tap on the shoulder from you and I’m grateful. You continue to be my inspiration in ways big and small.

Thank you for the places in life where we get a glimpse of the true Kingdom of God. Just to gaze upon your divine expression of restorative justice, unconditional love, and beloved community are all I need to keep pressing forward. Bless me to work faithfully to bring about your will, on earth as it is in heaven.

Bless my relationships that they may be mutually enriching ones where we build each other up in spirit and in truth. I ask for you to intervene in fractious and disordered relationships. Interrupt them with your peace, joy and love so that people can have more harmonious and loving interactions. It is not your wish that people abide in discord oh Lord, so I call upon you to open the door and clear the way for your presence to have it’s way.

Teach me how to pray oh God. Bless me with the power to pray mightily on behalf of others. Let me come into your presence with praise and thanksgiving, bearing the desires of my heart and the entirety of my spirit. Let me hold nothing back when I am with you oh Lord, and I am always with you.

Dear Lord, let me walk with Jesus today in all that I do. It is in his name and for his sake I pray.
