Are you there God it’s me...

Another day, another batch of new mercies. Thank you for letting me see the sun rise and the day begin. I do not take it for granted that you have put a smile on my lips and a song in my heart. Bless this day to be an uplifting and purposeful one.

Bless lonely people dear Lord. The pandemic has been so hard on those who need to gather with others in order to feel most fulfilled. Let them feel their companionship with you God in order to know they are never alone. Give them more safe opportunities to gather with others.

Help me to get the appropriate amount of rest so that I am able to make the most of my days Lord. Set my mind to the task at hand and help me to be clearer about what I need to accomplish each day. Let me redeem the intelligence, energy and drive you have given me by having my days bear good fruit.

Please open my eyes to the beauty in the world. Turn me into more of an optimist so that I am able to grasp the positive aspects to every situation and approach life with an upbeat and hopeful demeanor.

Help me to watch what I say. Your word says the power of life is in the toungue. Bless me so that my words are affirming, inspiring, and life-giving. Allow mine to be a voice others want to hear because it brings light to the darkness.

I am so thankful for Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. It makes the rich relationship I have with you possible. It is in his name and for his sake I pray.
