Lord, in your mercy hear my prayer.

I am happy this morning, now that I’ve finally woken up. Thank you for always putting a smile in my spirit. All of your gifts are amazing. I pray your mercy will fall afresh on me.

Help this day to go, not as I will, but as you will. Make my life over in your image, Lord. Bless me to be fully engaged with the day and to put my best foot forward. Bless me today.

Bless the unemployed and underemployed, dear Lord. Let them find work that meets their needs and gives them fulfillment. Help us create communities that have space for all.

I am rejoicing that you have given me a happy spirit this morning and pray that I will maintain it throughout the day. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray.
