Lord, in your mercy hear my prayer.

This sun is streaming in through my windows, but I am barely awake. Inspire me with your presence to pop up like a daisy and be ready and looking forward to all this day holds.

Cover me today with your spirit so that I may be diligent and productive in my work. Let me apply myself to the tasks before me. Allow my efforts to bear good and plentiful fruit.

Bless those who can not escape the extreme temperatures now, Lord. Put your shade over them and protect them from all harm and danger. Give them comfortable conditions.

I rejoice that all I need is in you. Let me always feel your presence and turn to you. Thank you for your love. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray.
