The joy of the Lord is my strength!

Thank you for letting me have sweet, sweet rest last night. You woke me up gently this morning and I am so glad to be with you. Your gift of life is precious. I need you every hour.

Help me to remain in the rest of your Sabbath this day. Teach me how to take my delight in you, not the ways of the world. Give me the joy of your presence and that will be enough.

Bless those who are homeless or housing-insecure, dear Lord. Give them shelter and comfort that is steady and sure. Meet all their needs and hold them in the palm of your hand.

You have created another great day for me to enjoy and I celebrate you as the maker and sustainer of all. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray.
